I'm going to take this advise and rest; next month, after the 30 in 30 is over!

I attended a wonderful art show reception at the Center for the Arts of Southern NJ last night. The art and food was amazing and the attendance was very good. Ann Macready, the Executive Director, always does such a great job.

The show is running through September 28th and is located on the Indian Springs Golf course at 123 South Elmwood Road in Marlton, NJ, 08053. Shows are open to the public at no charge. Hours: 10 - 3, Mon. - Fri. Prints of my painting that won Honorable Mention are available here.

Lucky are those among us who are able to live our lives with passion! Through some memory, feeling or past experience, we are able to tap into something much greater than ourselves. I know that for us lucky ones, enthusiasm for creating wells up inside until it finds a release and mixes with our medium. The medium then tells us what to do. Passion is a true collaboration with Spirit if the maker is willing to listen.

I've been crazy busy this this month on this daring daily art adventure! Experimenting with this wonderful alcohol ink medium produces some exhilarating moments and satisfying days when everything clicks. Then there are days when I paint nothing but throwbacks. When my creations turn out unsatisfactory, it's usually because I am stretching my boundaries and testing my wings. After thousands of paintings and so many years of art making, I know this is all part of the process. So to all you artists reading this, regardless of your experience, or level of accomplishment, my advice to you today is to really enjoy the journey. Recognize that each day's discoveries (the process, not the products) are the true blessings of the art adventure. Enjoy it all, the failures with the successes, as it unfolds, just let your muse lead the way.
